When it comes to viral beauty, no-one does it better than Charlotte Tilbury. “Pillow Talk” and “Magic Cream” are almost as famous as their founder. Now, Magic Body Cream is the newest recruit to join the squad and compete to break the beauty internet.
Awww sorry lil sis, but you have big shoes (or in this case, a 200ml tube) to fill, since the original magic cream formula is the brand's best-seller. It's award-winning, world famous and has its own fan-following, with over 142 million views dedicated to #magiccream on TikTok. So… uh yuh. Big, big shoes.
Stans will remember, OG MC was born backstage when Charlotte would mix her own bespoke glow-up to apply to model's and celeb's skin before the runway or a red carpet to remedy tired, dehydrated skin. When her clients started requesting their own stash, the idea for her own brand took off and Magic Cream was the very first launch.
Sounds yum, right? Good enough to bathe in. Well, having already extended her magic formula into an eye rescue, night cream, serum and lip oil, it was only time before Charlotte delivered a head-to-toe formula. So, we wanted to be the first to try Charlotte's Magic Body Cream and see how it measures up.

I'm a reformed body moisturiser refusenik. Rewind to a couple of years back and I'd go weeks (months) without moisturising my body, which is a pretty bad habit considering my job. Now? I don't quite know how I did it. A couple of days without moisturiser and my skin feels uncomfortable, itchy and looks dusty. Because I'm lazy (hence the not moisturising in the first place), I favour lightweight lotions that sink in quick. So I'm interested to see how this formula holds up.
The Product Details
Inspired by the original Magic Cream, Magic Body Cream is designed to bring that famous hydration to your whole body. It's infused with caffeine (which boosts circulation), a secret ingredient, Algaktivtm Uplift (to boost skin elasticity and firmness), hyaluronic acid (for deep hydration) and shea butter (to condition skin). Clinical results saw skin appear firmer by a pretty impressive 40% and hydrated in 28 seconds.
The GLAMOUR Road Test
The formula squeezes out as a medium-thick consistency, it has the same signature scent as the original magic cream and it massages easily into skin. It doesn't absorb as quickly as my current crush, The Body Shop's Body Yoghurts, but it still takes under a minute to apply it across my limbs. The after-effect though is dreamy. My skin feels thoroughly quenched and comfortable without feeling sticky. I can get dressed straight away and once it's touch dry, my skin is left feeling unbelievably silky and (crucially) it stays that way into the next day.
You know how fancy fabrics against your skin can make you feel mega, like a pair of plush silky pyjamas, this is the skincare equivalent. My clothes glided against my skin. Visually, my skin looks healthier and glowier, too, with none of the ashiness it had previously.
The Verdict
I loved the feel of this on my skin and the longevity it offered in terms of hydration. However, it's pricey and takes a little longer to apply than my other faves. I go through moisturiser quick so rather than an everyday go-to I'd save this as a treat for when I need an indulgent skin boost.
