Inspired by BB Easton's novel 44 Chapters About 4 Men, the first season followed the journey of suburban mother-of-two Billie, played by Sarah Shahi, who juggled her feelings for both her husband Cooper and her toxic bad boy ex Brad (played by Adam Demos, who is Sarah's boyfriend IRL!!!).

So, if you want some further details about the new series, GLAMOUR has you covered below:

What will Sex/Life season 2 be about?

The show's creator, executive producer and writer Stacy Rukeyser has stated that it will continue to centre around female sexuality.

She said in a statement: "To create a show about empowered female sexuality that has entranced so many millions of viewers is not only immensely fun but also incredibly gratifying.

"When I think about all the women who have reached out from all over the world to say that the show speaks to them in a deeply personal way, I am so inspired. I'm thrilled and grateful for the opportunity to continue telling this story for Billie and for all of us."

Season two will undoubtedly follow Billie's journey as she continues to be tempted by Adam's toxic charms, despite being a married woman. As per the show's name, we can also expect more raunchy sex scenes.

Is there a trailer for the second season?

There is! Check out below:

Who will star in Sex/Life season two?

Sarah Shahi will be reprising her role as Billie Connolly, Mike Vogel as her husband Cooper, Adam Demos as past lover Brad and Margaret Odette as her brilliant best friend, Sasha.

Netflix also released details of the new cast members for season two. These include Craig Bierko playing a character called Mick, Cleo Anthony as Kam, Succession's Darius Homayoun as Majid, Orphan Black's Dylan Bruce as Spencer and Batwoman's Wallis Day as Gigi.

What has the cast said about the new season?

Sarah uploaded the trailer to her Instagram with the simple caption: “Love is hard.”

Speaking of her character Billie's hopes for season two, Sarah previously told Entertainment Tonight: "You know, I feel like the whole point about Billie, it wasn't necessarily about this guy or that guy because I think we're better than that, and I think as women we need to get out of the age-old tale of: our lives are defined through a man. I want Billie to find the version of herself [when] she is the happiest and the most free, and I hope she can do that without the help of any man, no matter who she's with.

“I just hope that these stories continue to spiral even more down the rabbit hole that they already have. There's just a circus of things to explore with her, so I just hope we get another chance to do it again,” she added.

When will Sex/Life season 2 air?
