Spider web liner is the perfect lazy-girl nod to Halloween makeup

Want to nod to Halloween without cracking out the face paint? Simple makeup tweaks are the way forward. Take spider web liner for example, it follows the basic principle of a cat eye liner, but remixes it by incorporating extra threads woven into a web pattern off the end. Simple enough, but statement and effective, provided you've got a fairly steady hand and have a classic winged liner down.

Even better, there's no need to go out and buy a load of products you'll only use once, since to create the look, you'll pretty much just need the contents of your makeup bag, or a liquid liner, if that's not part of your edit.

It's the perfect lazy girl approach to Halloween: super cute with not a lot of effort involved. And, it's perfect if you need to pull off a themed lewk last minute.

Better still, you can customise it to you. Once you've got the web shape in place, you can make it 3D with parallel white liner, you can bedazzle it with gems and crystals, or you can go big with XXL faux lashes.

Here's some of our favourite ways to wear spider web liner

Intricate floating web liner

Creator @alicekingmakeup created a floating liner above her lid, then created a spider web out of the winged shape in the corner.

3D white and black spider web liner

Creator @shania_parris_ went back in with a white liner to amplify the black web design and create a 3D effect.

Dangling spider web liner

Go extra by adding a dangling spider to the design. It's a bit more themed and novelty, but it's super cute, too. Creator @brookenoelbeauty drew her spider by creating a figure of 8, filling it in, then sketching on legs.

Bedazzled spider web liner

We love the addition of 3D white liner and crystal gems on this web liner look by @shealee.
